Clinical Pilates is an extension of traditional Pilates regularly used by our Physiotherapy team. It is a very effective treatment tool, backed by evidence, and tailored to meet your needs. Afterall we are all unique, so generic “one size fits all” exercises are far less likely to help you reduce your pain and achieve your health goals.
Clinical Pilates allows an individual approach – your program is developed following a thorough assessment, according to your needs and to your body’s response to the exercises you are doing. It is not just about improving core strength or fitness.
The exercises included in your program will be targeted to you and your goals and will often be direction specific, depending on where your Physiotherapist determines your body’s “happy place to exercise” is. We will consider any muscle weakness, joint stiffness, balance issues, reduced motor control, along with any previous or current injuries that are impacting on your quality of life.
Your program is developed following a thorough assessment, according to your needs and to your body’s response to the exercises you are doing.
What to expect at your Clinical Pilates Class

Our Clinical pilates classes are under the supervision of Physiotherapists and cater to a maximum of 3 participants. We offer both 1 hour classes and express 45 minute classes.
To be included in these classes you must first complete your Clinical Pilates Assessment and once your Physiotherapist has designed your program you can join a class by booking with our Admin team in person or by phone. We have a range of times available from morning, afternoon, evening and Saturday morning and are continuing adding additional classes when needed.
We recommend loose comfortable clothing for the classes and suggest grip socks for safety on the equipment, which can be purchased at the clinic.
