Sally Radford
After graduating from La Trobe University in 1992 Sally began working at both Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital and The Alfred Hospital leading to experience with transplant patients, multi-trauma, Intensive Care, Orthopaedic Surgery and complex medical and surgical conditions. She then travelled to the United Kingdom in 1995 and gained further experience in Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal injuries by working as a locum in many settings.
After returning to Melbourne, Sally began work in private practice in Chirnside Park and Williamstown and later joined North Balwyn Physiotherapy as a partner in 2004. In 2015 Sally became the Principal Physiotherapist and Director at NBPC.
Her areas of interest include acute sporting injuries, spinal conditions, headaches, and post operative and vestibular rehabilitation. Sally has also completed Level 1-4 training in Clinical Pilates at DMA, and is passionate about this approach to rehabilitation, recovery and injury prevention for many different client conditions.
Sally also incorporates manual therapy techniques, dry needling and home exercises, along with education to empower self management.
In her time away from work Sally enjoys camping, cycling, gym classes, baking and spending time with her 2 adult sons, husband and border collie . Her love of good coffee leads her to trying out new cafes regularly and her current weakness is Portuguese tarts.
What do you love most about working at NBPC?
I love working with a really diverse range of clients and to not only treat injuries, but to manage medical conditions successfully and to be able to prevent surgery in many cases.
